How It Began
In second grade my parents insisted I take piano lessons after school. I hated it at first. But thanks to a teacher with infinite patience, I learned not only how to play, but how to read and write music. By fourth grade I was studying ‘cello and landed my first paying gig — a Christmas concert at a local church. By sixth grade I had written my first song… about Leonardo da Vinci.
I’m still grateful to my parents and those early teachers. They gave me the tools that would eventually become my voice.
Three Languages, One Story
Music has always been inseparable from storytelling for me. Every song I write still begins the same way it did when I was a child — with a story. That habit eventually carried me into writing for magazines and books, but music remained the purest form of expression.
Over the years I taught myself bass, synthesizer, guitar, and drums. I took vocal lessons and worked as a backing singer. I have released hundreds of songs and soundtracks across a wide range of styles, always chasing the moment when sound becomes emotion.
